Fix the display of issues in Salesforce LIghtning so that the details fill the entire width of the screen.

The JIRA details shown in current JIRA Issue component only takes up 1/3 of the section in which it is placed.

There is a css tag being placed on the component 'slds-medium-size--1-of-3' that is causing this.

If this tag was removed, or if we could add our own tags, or be given access to customize the component, the display issue would be fixed.

I've attached screenshots of what it currently looks like, as well as what it would look like if that css tag were to be removed.

    Admin response

This idea has been addressed with the release of the "Beta Lightning Web Component", howeer the expereience is different, you can expand each card in a side bar to view details in a more intuitive manner.

Could we get an update to when the Salesforce Package rewrite will be going live?

    Hi there,

We are evaluating this tool to roll out to our org, but its currently unusable due to this formatting issue. Can it please be prioritized?

    Many thanks

Please add this to the active development sprint. In it's current format it is not very useful.

Also as it is such a small fix - a CSS change - surely that can be dropped in to a service release?

It's highly recommended in the project. Please solve this problem and make it a priority.

This is critical so that our support people in Salesforce can see clearly progress of Jira issues without leaving Salesforce.

This is still an issue and I'd love to see this get fixed! It really makes the app useless.

It'd be great to see this fixed. This issues makes it almost impossible to read the JIRA details which greatly reduces the overall value of the product.

The issue I'm having is that the font size in the VisualForce components in SF Lightning is too small at 7.1px.

It was fine in the old SF but the text got tiny when we moved to Lightning. As in this request, there's css that's changing the font size to 71% that needs to be removed/adjusted.

A review of the Jira Issue and Jira Comments sections in Lightning would be greatly appreciated.

Definitely needed. We've got a 3 column layout for our cases, and this limits where we can put this component.

Any solution to this yet? Reps can't easily see the values. This seems like a pretty significant issue since the purpose of the app is to share data between Salesforce and JIRA.

Just started my trial for the connector and this is pretty annoying. I see it is "planned" - do you have a rough ETA on when it will be released?

I think a full with card that transforms to a table makes the most sense

The main issue for us is that the text often doesn't wrap properly so it cuts off and makes it impossible to read, rendering it effectively useless

If the screen size is small then I would suggest using cards to display multiple/single issues. Example being is if we use this component on a sidebar where there is limited space, not all of the headers would be visible or you would have to scroll to see the headers(Not very ideal). Where as if we use the component in the center there is a bit more space and I would use the table to display multiple/single issues.

For the enhancement I would make it flexible based on the screen size as that will dictate what can be put there.

Hi all, thank you for your comments and votes on this. We are keen to make this experience better.

Apart from a single issue display, we also want to make the information presentable and readable when there's many issues to display. What would be ideal for you? A full-width card for a single issue, which transforms into a table (with headings) when there's more issues? or Just a table? Let us know your use case.
