As a user I need a method to automatically associate Jira issues with SFDC Cases based on a custom field


* A Jira Service Desk user creates a ticket in the service desk portal requiring a Program Code field

* Upon ticket creation, the Program Code field "automatically" associates/links to an ID field related to a custom Salesforce object to display an association in both applications.

    When an issue is created in Jira, having it automatically associated with a record in Salesforce would be so helpful. Having to manually connect an issue to a Salesforce record can lead to mistakes, like accidentally associating the issue with the wrong record.

    This functionality is needed, because, on the Server version, the information was kept inside a custom field, which could have been easily updated with the ID of the Salesforce object via automation(post-function).
    I think it is very important to have the same behavior on Cloud, as well.

    Everlight Radiology wants to be able to automatically associate a Jira ticket to the account via the account id (example via post function).
