Currently, all exported Confluence pages, and all their subsequent updates are seen as Draft (version 0). Confluence users no longer able to push updates after the article as been marked as published.

Export updates into Salesforce even though the Article in Salesforce has been published.
Update published articles and update it in Salesforce as a higher version of that article

All publishing will now set the corresponding Salesforce knowledge articles as "Published" automatically. This also means the articles are versioned.
