A constant issue we have faced in our organization is finding that a password or other bit of information was entered in to Confluence in multiple places, and that the info was updated in one but not all locations. When we add a secure macro to a page, we would like it to get some identifier that could be referenced when adding the macro on another page, so that the same instance of the macro could be displayed on multiple pages, but if any of those instances were updated across any of the pages, the change would also be reflected on the other pages where it is referenced, since it is referencing the same instance of the macro as opposed to multiple different instances that need to be updated.
