As of now, the button seems to be quite destructive, as a click can cause the approval to be removed. Below are some suggestions to improve them:
Provide an acknowledgment to make sure that the user really wants to reset it.
Change the location of the button to be on the bottom-left. This is to avoid misclick with it just beside the "Approve" button.
Adding the requirement that a certain number of users need to "Approve" the reset as this can be abused where the user just going to click reset every time.
Permission settings for who can reset an approval request.

To strengthen this feature request.
The reset button is indeed quite destructive and should be only available for certain admins and the creator of the page.
If you can add a permission section where you can control who will have access to the "reset" button that will be great!
